The machine was running today and I heard a clunck from its direction while happening to be in the area. Thought something had fallen over. Could not see anything and ignored it. A while later the other half said the washing machine was not working.

Turns out the “Rinses” light keeps flashing irrespective of which cycle is engaged, which according to the operating manual means there is a fault – very helpful.

Turned off at mains, made sure drain not obviously blocked and looked for anything caught in drum. Machine fills and drains OK and fault appears to be that the drum no longer rotates. For instance, on Quick Wash the machine fills, waits a while and drains but no drum activity.

Took the lid off and drive belt is in one piece and drum rotates freely.

I have searched on the web for a downloadable service manual with no luck.

Anyone know what fault(s) cause the “Rinses” light to flash and/or where I can get a manual to track down myself?

    Thansk in anticipation

If remember right think rinses light flashing means no signal from motor tacho generator could be carbon brushs, tacho, wiring loom or pcb!!! all of which are very expensive i would recomend you get an expert in! sorry 😥

Thanks, even if the news is not that good. Looks like time to dig deep…
