Fault with my APM 8702 – On Button light Flicks on to Off!

Hi there,

I have a problem with my washer/dryer APM 8702. When I come to start a wash and press the ON button, you see the light go on for a miller second and there is no light or life afterwards.

Checked filter seems fine and fuse is fine.

Can someone please help me?

Sounds like a classic On/Off switch failure to me. This one I believe comes as a four button switch bank – contact spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk for ordering.

Power off if having a look.

Hi Danny, Penguin is right, sounds very much like the on/off switch is duff, very common.

If the machine doesn’t have a “-1” at the end of the model number on the rating plate then this is the part you need

Yeah, it’s fairly obvious how it goes in.

Just remember to pull the power, it’s live there!
