I need some assistance. I have never had any problems with my ovens or hub but have always had difficulty with the grill. It use to just take a long while to stay ignited when switching on, however, across the last 12 months the flames cut right off with no warning. Each time I check the entire unit to ensure that it isn’t just a problem with gas to the house but the rest works fine. It is highly dangerous and last week I had gone into the living room whilst it was cooking as I knew I had a few minutes to spare before tending to the food. After walking back in the kitchen with my 3 year old all that I could smell was gas. I don’t know how long it had been out for and the grill just would not stay lit! The top oven worked fine and stayed on when releasing the nob, but not the grill. I am extremely concerned over this.

well first you need to find a gas safe engineer to service it

it does sound like a thermocouple problem but normally when they go the gas shuts off so you might get a slight wiff of gas smell but not very strong

it worries me that unburnt gas may be escaping and the possibilities of carbon monoxide due to partially burnt gas is also on my agenda

if you have no carbon monoxide detectors in your home its a very good idea to buy one as these are a life saver
