I have a Zanuzzi frost free freezer.and the red alarm light has been blinking for three days.I don’t know what to do about it.The other fault with the freezer is that for some time chunks of ice are in the bottom of the freezer and zi have to chip it away frequently.I know it should not do this and phoned the only number I could find for Zanuzzi. They are in Nottingham and it sounds like an agent just taking calls for work. They want £108 pounds just as a call out charge and can’t afford that.Anyone got any advice?

It sounds like the drain has frozen.

If you can get someone to look after your food for 48 hours / 2 days and turn off the fridge freezer at the mains this should allow the drain to clear.

If the problem of ice returns within a few weeks then you will have a problem with the defrost system or drain non return valve.

And you would need an engineer, You can try the find me an engineer on this site.
