faulty beko grill elements

i got 2 grill elements genuine BEK300180414 from, qualtex, both had earth leaks on the outer element parts anyone else having a problem with these.

Most likely ingress of moisture due to poorly sealed ends.
Whack on cable from 13A plug with live & neutral supply leads without earth connection to dry out and stand clear, obviously this has to be done safely where no one can touch during this period , 10-15 mins usually drys them out enough.
