i have a hotpoint bs22 fan oven, the grill is not currently working. there is a orange light on the front of cooker that illuminates when using the oven, but has stopped illuminating with the grill. also, smoke pours out of the cooker whenever i turn the grill on. could this simply be the element or does it sound more serious? i would really appreciate any help here, as a new element is £50. would hate to spend that and find it to be something else. i really cant afford to lose that if i still have to buy a new one! thanks guys!
