    Hi,

I have a Bosch Classixx 1200 Express WF02467GB/15 with the following symptoms:

    – any “hot” wash 30/40+ program trips out the RCD a few minutes into the cycle (machine is filling with cold water ok)
    – cold wash, spin and drain programs all work ok

I think the most likely faulty part is therefore the heating element. Can anyone suggest a step by step process to test the heating element (before purchasing/fitting a new one)

    thanks
    Ian

With the appliance unplugged, locate heater (front).
With a multimeter on resistence reading, read across the poles of the heater (with the wires feeding detached), it should readd app 20 – 30 ohms.
Earth leakage can still be apparent even if the heater reads ok, but a specialist meter would be required to read this.

I would still put money on the heater causing the trip out IMHO 😉
