Hi could anyone please help me. I have a Samsung American style fridge freezer model no RS21DCNS which has a water dispenser and ice maker. It has recently developed a problem the fridge seems fine but the freezer is not making ice cubes and the top two shelves are defrosting the food, the bottom shelf and the two draws are staying frozen the front panel is showing plus 15 degree’s and suddenly dropping to minus 20 degree’s. I have done a code error test on the front panel and it is coming up with f-fan error. Please if anybody knows what this problem is I’d appreciate their help. Thanks

With out testing it is hard to tell.

The most likely fault is the freezer fan motor.

If you open the freezer door when the fridge freezer is running. Then press and hold the light switch, after 30 to 60 seconds you should here the fan motor start if it does not then it is most likely the fan faulty.

You can check the fridge fan motor the same way by opening the fridge door but make sure you only have one door open at a time when checking.
