I bought a kitchen from ikea two years ago with an integrated dishwasher Model: DWF415(s).
It has developed a fault which is confusing me.
Basically, the water enters the machine and fills to normal level and then it stops. The light is still on etc but nothing happens.
The water is supposed to heat up, it does sometimes but not every time. One of my mates (who’s good at this type of thing) seems to think the motor has gone/ceased. Can anyone tell me if they’ve had a similar thing or what could be the culprit and do I just write it off instead of replacing. Any advice would be most welcome indeed if even just for my sanity.
You should have circulation after fill – you should be able to hear the water drumming against the door. You could pop the door and check – have a towel handy in case it’s doing it. If not, have a read of this: http://www.ukwhitegoods.co.uk/modules.p … ge&pid=159
Cheers for replying,
definitely no circulation, so I presume my mate was right.
I saw the link (new pump motor) before, but I’d probably be as well getting a new dishwasher!!!!
😕 :sadder:
It’s a decent enough machine (when the new motor’s in it). Built-ins are always a problem due to the sheer hassle of fitting a replacement, and some of the cheaper ones these days are absolute shockers. If you are going to change, move up – NEFF/Seimens, Meile, ASKO are all excellent.
