ParticipantHave a customer with a Favorit 44080i dishwasher that goes through the washing cycle ok according to the customer but the crockery comes out soaking wet and not dry.
Have not taken this model apart so does it have a separate heating element for the drying process at the end of its wash cycle that could be blown?Flying Brick

If the heater is faulty this machine would finish the cycle without heating, check the heater & board. PM you email if you req more info

Thanks Colin
Will be trying to contact the customer this morning after a crap holiday stuck in the Peak District with snow no power and a really crap holiday cottage.
If I find the heating element ok then will have a look at the pcb module for burnt out board or relay?

Back again Colin
Been to look at the dishwasher but could not monitor the current being used as they had hard wired it into the back of the wall and then tiled close up to the front making it nearly impossible to pull the unit out at the moment.Put a thermocouple inside to measure water temp and on a 30 min cycle it ran through ok and reached 60* centigrade no problem.
Checked the pcb module and nothing looked fried and connectors all clean with no burnt tracks.Set it up to a 70* centigrade wash 120-130 min cycle but the temp did not get to the 70* but could not stay there for the whole period. Customer will phone if it does not go through a full wash on the 70* setting and leaves the cutlery dry.
Full code: F44080IW
PNC: 911-235-379-00
Ser no:53405032
PCB module: EDW 100 H-R-H
Date 20.8.05I take it there is not another element for the drying process on these models.
Customer thinks the 30 min cycle is ok but always screws up on the long wash?

Thanks Colin received the info on the unit which was very helpful. Great stuff.
Having chatted to the customer and found the heater ok and coming nicely up to 60* for the 30 min cycle it sometimes does not heat on the long 70* 130 min run?Took the main control module out of the door and noticed that one pair of thick wires to the heater relay board looked rather loose on the crimping. Cleaned the contacts again and made sure the crimping was tightened up and when all back together heating nicely to 70* with dry cutlery once again.
It seems that if you slowly shut or slam the front door on the dishwasher it’s a lottery if the heating comes on properly. So far the customer is happy with two full wash cycles and nice dry cutlery, again thanks for your time in sending the info. Hope Monday blues have gone by for you; yes have a Zanussi fan oven which is still running ok after some 20 years.
