When you start it it will attempt to fill up. It will start/stop/start… filling for about 1min and then eventually beep and give up with some lights lit up.

It sounds like the OOB (out of balance) switch is faulty. Remove the top console and the motor controller, the switch and bracket is on the rh side. There should be signs of corrosion around the terminals. P/n for new 420313. Also check the bowl is springing back on all four corners when you press it down. Hope this helps. 😉

Once you have a look, you will see it is straight forward. But if you dont feel confident, get a professional.

I opened it up and had a look. I think the switch you mean is the one located beneath the control panel that is a grey box with a white stick sticking down next to the drum right? I had a look at it but I couldn’t see any terminals. Its just plastic.
Are you sure this sounds like a balance switch problem? It starts and stops when filling at the start of the cycle? It wouldn’t be rotating at this time would it?

You need to remove the panel that the buttons are on, then the control module under that, and you will see the switch assy. It is what you are looking at but on the other side of the plastic. 😉

Ok. It’s corroded just as you said. So if I replace this part, how sure now are you that this will fix my problem? 50{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} 90{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d}?

You can confirm the fault is in the switch by connecting the 2 wires to the switch together as the switch is normally closed.
Don’t leave it that way or you could have bigger problems if the machine gets out of balance!
Also unplug the machine before you touch any wiring!

I have an MW059AU (Pride smartdrive) and it keeps turning the solenoid on and off whilst it is trying to fill, sounds like same problem. When I press the wash temp down and power button together I get no fault LEDs. I tried bridging out the OOB and door switches but had same result. I thought it might be a water level problem, I can blow air through the level indicator tube and suck water back through. I tried pushing down the plunger on the level transducer whilst trying to fill the machine, this causes the solenoid to turn off but the machine does not proceed to the next step. Would you recommend replacing the motor control board? My local distributor has one in stock but as you know it is an expensive part. The machine is only 3 years old. I look forward to any advice anyone could give me. Thank you.

Do you get any fault indication at all? 😕
