Done a few of these now but dont like using Jubilee clips as they are never perfectly round and are prone to leaks.
Can anyone suggest a better idea.
Thanks Graham
You can get the blitz clips that are already fit to them, use a pair of pincers to tighten them up.
Personally I have never had a problem with the jubilee clips we use quite a narrow flexible one and it pulls in no problem.
have changed hundereds of these and I use a terminal screwdriver to slacken the clip off by inserting driver in raised part of clip and twisting slightly to releave tension on clip . remove heater , insert new heater and retighten clip with either sidecuts or endcut pliers.
if you mean the tube heaters I get skinny jubilee clips from Perrys, our local vauxhall dealership. They’ve never let me down (the clips) and they don’t cost a fortune either.
Try http://www.stagonset.co.uk jubilees in stainless 7m wide very adaptable and good quality and not the heavy gauge type so form well around the heater tube, used on commercial dishwashers etc.
just found what i think is the propper tool for these clips on http://www.justoffbase.co.uk part no vs1664 £8.58 inc vat im going to order a pair to try
