Flippin eck π₯ .
Sorry Jim, went with the board number given me by connect π³ cos yours came up as timer. Guess what, it gave me a software error.
So contacted Indesit to get info from them….different number (c00143224)and needing correct eprom. Thing is, their price is Β£40 odd quid cheaper than Connects price with the discount given.Hopefully this’ll sort it and that Connect will accept a non return wrong part with no mention of eproms:rolls: .

That part number comes up as ‘No parts found’ on Partfinder, must be a superceded number.
for some daft reason Indesit do call some of their PCB’s timers π

Er …..last one on this chaps.
Is there a right and a wrong way up to fit the eeprom. I can see where it fits but it could go in either way.Any help appreciated as I hate expensive bangs π₯ .

I’ve never actually changed an eeprom but having swapped a few chips on PC’s they normally have a little half moon cut out at one end, this is also shown on the PCB.

Got board and eeprom from Ineptos*it.
Getting Al09…..software not recognised π₯
Does this eeprom, board or whatever need to be programmed or is it plug and play. This board (at I’s confirmation that it is the right one) looks different to the original in that there is no eeprom socket on it.
I’m rapidly losing patience and money on this one, should I get the FBH out………Tony C

Does this eeprom, board or whatever need to be programmed or is it plug and play. This board (at I’s confirmation that it is the right one) looks different to the original in that there is no eeprom socket on it.Perhaps eeprom is for inserting in old PCB… in right position (see position of older memory). And I think (because I do not know what type of electronics do you have) that front PCB (user interface board) isn’t “understanding” with main PCB.==> F09. But from my experience with Indesit/Ariston/Hotpoint electronics that means also: dead memory; wrong or missing program inside (clean one).

If it is BIT100 electronics then I had right on earlier thoughts:

Does that mean that I need another facia/ user board as well?
Customer won’t wear that, I’m sure. This pile is only 16 months old and it’s already cost me more time and money than its worth. I think I’m going to cut my losses on this one π₯ .FBH in box ready for next visit π .

If you got new eeprom (right one) why did not fit correctly on old PCB and see what’s happen… and win not lose money?
cornwell40 wrote:Does that mean that I need another facia/ user board as well? Tony C
No, I have said that if new PCB is different as old one normally because his software not discussing with fascia module… You just need both PCB’s to have complementary softwareβs: old fascia together with old main PCB but right memory or new main module (with new software already inside) need new fascia…

Old board completely blown due to L/N fusing together at heater.
The old board had a space for a eprom but nothing connected there just unsoldered holes in the board. The new board has a socket for the eeprom, which seems to fit perfectly (although thats no guarantee it’s the correct one π ).Tony C
