I have a funny situation,CK tools want to come and do a display but the stumbling block is the £250,Its not the fact that they are expected to contribute rather its how they can do it ,Apparently the way they work with trade shows is that they support a wholesaler for an area who they then assist with stock to a particular value , similarly they want to give us tools of our choice to the value of £250.
Obviously the stumbling block is how can we then sell them on to members ,I spoke to Ken before he went away and he is willing to put them through the shop on UKW,the question is are we willing to accept this,The only way I am going to get them there is by this means of payment.
We made the decision about stand fees after we got burnt by British gas last year, the difference here is that its not that these guys don’t want to contribute its just the way they want to contribute.
I really want them there as they are well known for quality and they would like to explore an affiliation with us which could give us some really good exposure.
Thoughts please

My take is, do what you think is right and works best for the TA.
In the end, is it really that much of an issue?

If your vouching for them and we can recover the costs one way or another than why not.
I look forward to seeing them there.

Ok,I have asked them if they will open us an account that is preloaded with £250 that way we can draw down on it as and when and not end up with stuff that won’t sell, will see what they say .

Are they selling tools at the meeting or just displaying them?
