A really worthwhile event.

Thanks are due to all those that organised the whole event.

In particular Lawrence who acted as m.c. Ian Dales who was flitting everywhere, Stephen who was arranging logistics, furnishing and photos, Ken for being Ken. The ladies who were making sure all the right things were in the right places, and dealing with registration. The hotel staff who looked after the visiting delegates on the day as well as those that stayed overnight.

One thing that seemed ironic. There seems to be a perception this event in the past was a glorified booze up. There was very little alcohol consumed Thurs night, yet the bar ran out of oxygen and could not dispense some beers. It didn’t matter, we convened into another area and we sat down & chatted.

All in all, a brilliant affair, and long may it continue.

i agree with alex great to meet/network with old and new friends lots of valuable info/ideas exchanging hands , new software on show (ken) , refrigeration training , new apps , learning sites – to much to take in tbh .. but none the less an extremely valuable and interesting meeting.

another big thanks to ukw/wta staff who made this happen again

It was nice to meet up with everyone again and a few Miner problems was sorted out early Saturday AM.

On Behalf of everyone involved,thank you for your kind words,there was a lot going on as you saw so apologies to those we didnt get to say hello to.

Can I take this opportunity to thank Ade for being, well, just him! It wouldn’t have been the same without him…! 😆

Seriously, definitely the best yet. Lawrence made a joke about the NEC whilst on stage giving the intro… 5 Years time if the growth continues… Will be something seriously that would be considered!

You’ll all laugh now, but seriously, in time, I see the WTA hosting the first ever Whitegoods exhibition / conference that will attract Manufacturers & Representatives from all over the world, such like the ECA and other Trade Associations, now huge, but started somewhere!

A big ‘thank you’ to everybody involved in this years Whitegoods Trade Association conference.

The turn-up was very impressive with regard to both ‘members and other delegates’ and exhibitors, making the event a comfortable and informative one for all attendees.

A large round-of-applause to the speakers at the conference who kept the devoted attention of the members for the greatest time.

Thank you to all those behind the scenes who assisted in any manner toward the creation of the event.

Well done .. it was thoroughly enjoyable.

Hi Guys
Could I just say how much I enjoyed the conference on Friday. It was my first one and found it very helpful. I was hoping to network a little and make contacts with organisations that take on independent engineers on a contract basis. I met those with stalls but unfortunately wasn’t able to make contact with others that where there. None the less, very helpful, keep up the good work.

hi steve , im afraid theres no science to meeting potential clients , you really need to get your skill sets and coverage area out to potential clients long before you get the chance to meet face to face , i personally have met clients via other ukw members who ive networked with over many meetings etc ,

realistically you cant just turn up and hope everyone will throw work at you. although this has been the case in many occasions ..

i wouldnt let this put you off – i have lost count how many companies we have emailed etc..

Every week I try to spend time marketing, just hard when you don’t know any one but will keep plugging away.
