    Re: February 2012

    Hi All

Following a conversation about the forthcoming DASA meeting with dave highton.

he has stated that if we draw up a e-mail for the February meeting he will forward it to all the ISDAL engineers as a invite..

He also commented on the way that DASA have copied our previous meetings with their one due. Is it possible that some info is getting back to them ?.

And Aide..you have received an invite from ISDAL i believe from ISDAL for the DASA meeting. So you don’t need to feel so left out.

DASA were at the last meeting in the shape of David Parks and Simon Flint of Masterfix.
I know that Simon has nailed his colours very firmly to the DASA mast as he told my engineers so on Samsung Training .
We should be flattered they have copied our format I think .

    Re: February 2012

Yeah I had that email today Bry. Can I just say…

Because of the hard work of the WTA for Feb meet 2011, we gave an awesome day to all that attended. I was against DASA being invited from the start, but they were and look what’s happened. They’re copying us and trying to out do us and that f**king winds me up. Especially as that DASA Bod stood up in Feb, UN INVITED to stand up and gave a speech on where DASA were at at a WTA Meeting.

It really annoys me, but f**k it, keep friends close and enemies closer a?!

I think Lawrence should go to the DASA Meeting as a WTA Hat, just to show face, some one has to I think. If for no other reason, than to give an accurate feedback on attendees etc.

If Lawrence doesn’t want to go, I’ll go as me, the tw*t from Cardiff that has a mouth too big. Fu*k it, what have I got to lose? I’m not a shirt n Tie man that likes to sniff peoples arses, so I’d be the Nigel Dill to DASA as he was to us. Simples.

    I’m ranting… badmoodf**koff.com!

    Re: February 2012

    Chill….
So they copy us ,don’t forget we are two no make that three meetings like this ahead of them ,Also take a look at their programme ,they still don’t get it …
They register everyone then tell them “scuse us we need to go and have OUR meeting in another room ,just wait there and amuse yourselves ” How Bl00dy rude is that ?

Basically they are stuck in a downward spin and they are doing what they have always done ,the basic premise of DASA is still jobs for the boys ,thats why the people THEY regard as key players are there ,Will any off them ask the Dude from Bosch why they are hampering the indies with regards to tech ,will they hell ,half of the DASA committee are selling Bosch in their retail outlets and are doing seller service !!
The point is that our very existence is about the independents ,Without a radical rethink and lots of people being pushed of the top table theres can never be ..

If I go it won’t be on my own.. I also need to accumulate some serious brownie points to be able to get away with it .

I am proud that the WTA is inclusive within its remit and constitution, its as it should be .
I also have no problem with DASA attending ,although this time there will be NO gatecrashers during presentations .
Let them see how it should be done ,cos try as they might they will never be able to do it because they are constrained by what they have become ,lets keep highlighting the differences ,banging the independent drum ,and improving the life for the small guy on the ground .
Thats what we are about and always will be

    OK

So that I can get the ball rolling next week instead of leaving it to the last minute..

Do you want me to get bags organised ?. The type that I was thinking of was the PE kit type that can be passed down to the engineers kids.Cost approx. £0.60 plus £40 set up fees.Thats just off the top of my head,I will be looking to reduce it.If its a higher volume then costs come down.
Is there any other promotional you want ?

Think about this so that I can get started next week.

Also I have put the discount code for the room booking up,There seems to be a problem putting the link in the forum at the moment so we need to start getting the rooms booked.

Barre munro and myself are the only ones booked so far.

Ok now i’m back off holiday (Eventful time -our friend rolled her car into a ditch ,Total write off ,she has whiplash)
What do people feel about the bags idea ?the bags that swift gave us were made by
    http://www.thecleverbaggers.co.uk
Its all about cost at the end of the day ,I wonder if it would be more cost effective to use the membership folders for meetings as well ?

I am back now just after half week of bloody decorating and weekend away in devon, pile of paper work and crapp to sort through now. 😆

TBH, lets gets the membership packs sorted first, or we will have the guys moaning and we will be undoing the good we started.:rolls:

If we are going to do more shows like swift as well as our own stand at the meetings then we could do with something. Not sure what yet, cups didnt go as quickly as I thought any way maybe no one wants the freebies 😕
Nobody gonna use them with the WTA logo on them for school stuff as most have corporate matching uniforms and bags.
The enviro ones some people may use them for the weekly shopping but again probably a waste of money at this time ❗

    Re: February 2012

    Bryan,

The link on the email refers to accomodation and to indicate those that want it when they register for the event. I couldn’t get any of the links to work above but am happy to modify the email if you have one. To be honest I’m not sure if the registrations will bounce through to us or not either. The important thing was to get the date in the diary for these companies.
