ParticipantHi, this website has been very informative to my husband and I, but we cannot find anything relative to our binary code problem 00001000.
We bought a 2ndhand washing machine off an internet auction site for $55 simply to keep in the workshop to wash saddle blankets (husband HATES having horse hair in his undies *grin* when I use the regular household F&P!!!), which are no thicker or heavier than 2-3 normal bathroom towels (not bath towels, just rub-down towels). That one turned out to be a dud – agitator didn’t work.
So today we bought another cheaper machine and stuck to a well known brand, the good old Kelvinator, smart drive 501. I used to have one in my single days, it was a dream machine!
We got it home and had seen it working at the house we bought it from. We put it in our workshop and got it going, and did one wash, PERFECT RESULT 🙂
Then on the 2nd wash it all turned to tears ‘again’ (I feel a bit ripped off for the 2nd time, and all I want is for my horses to have clean saddle blankets!!!)… I called the people we got it from who called us straight back after leaving them a message, and wondered if it was off-balance.
Husband went out and used his level to balance it and set it flat on a concrete slab – 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} totally flat.
It’s still not working 🙁
What it is doing is turning on, flashing through all the lights as normal (nothing weird there), and then it sounds like it WANTS to pump water in, but doesn’t, makes a few grinch noises, then after about 1-2 mins it beeps every second and flashes 00001 000.
Do we have ANOTHER dud??? 😥 😥 😥
Any help appreciated! We live way way out in the wop-wops countryside, so getting a serviceman out would be horrendously expensive!

My husband says the computer is not operating the solenoid to let the water in – it just kinda opens it in short bursts.
We even undid the connection on the tap while it was turned on just to make sure the water was still running! (yes it was).

looks like you have got a faulty pcb then back to horse hair in the undies it is 😳 if you didnt pay much for the washer probably not economical to repair

Bugga… 🙁 Okay I shall put it up for auction online with a $1 reserve (like the last one, seems we are getting a graveyard of faulty washing machines here)… and keep looking for a decent 2ndhand one, maybe from someone we know that we can try before we buy.
(Horse hair in undies is TRULY not a good look).

Tony – these are completely unlike any UK machine……..
00001000 fault is related to the display module. Unplugging and replugging may reset it. If you’ve read the code back to front, all 0001……. codes relate to the display board as well.
