ParticipantHello there!
I have a Hotpoint AQUARIUS WDAL 8640 Washer/Dryer that has been playing up over the past few weeks, which now seems to go wrong every single time. It washes fine, but then part way through drying it decides to half fill the drum with water, and then stop, which causes all of the lights to flash on and off repeatedly (the lights next to the buttons, not the ones telling you where it is through the cycle).
The pump is fine, and as soon as you start the machine up again, it drains correctly. I’ve tried cutting off the water supply, and while this stops the machine filling with water, it also stops the dry cycle completely.
Any idea what could be causing this?

Ignore the flashing lights, the error codes a given by reading the right hand vertical lights using the bottom five lights and counting from the bottom up.
You have light 4 on steady, sadly this is the dreaded F08 or 8 flash fault.
Do a search of this forum and enter Indesit and 8 flashes, you will get some idea of the problem you have. 🙁

Thanks for the quick response, my apologies for not being so fast in mine. I didn’t actually manage to get a photo of my machine, so I used one from the internet to try and make things clearer which buttons were flashing, but that seems to have confused matters. Sorry about that 🙁
Since then I’ve been trying to replicate the problem, but being temperamental, it wouldn’t come back. That combined with being out the house meant that I couldn’t get a photo of the error code. I’ve managed to replicate it today, and it’s not the same error code. It is lights 3 and 4 steady. Here is an actual photo that I took.

Sorry for confusing things, and thanks again for your help!

Still confusing things, you have lights 1,+3,+4 which is not a recognised error code. ❓

Is the lock light part of the error code?
