I have 2 washing machines that may be older than I have been led to believe. I have read various forums about how to decipher the serial numbers to give the date of manufacture but these don’t seem to work. I believe both machines are newer than 2002 because that is when Hotpoint was taken over by Indesit and both machines are badged as Hotpoint but their instructions say Indesit. Phew…. so the machines in question are:

    Hotpoint WD640, serial 33120629

    Hotpoint HV7F 140, serial 205295144 30780380100

Thank you in advance to anyone that can help.

    Hello

I’ve been given a better model washing machine I think? And just want to find out the ages of my current machine which was given to me plus his other one.
