    Hi there,

From other posts I understand that this is actually a Whirlpool. Either way it’s on the blink.

It fills, the water is heated, but after a couple of hours sat doing very little except gently hum it drains, starts beeping and when opened the “start” light is flashing (three times then a pause, repeated).

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks
    Gary

    Hi gary
You will need to look at the heating circuit area.

    hi

the same fault will appear if its a askoll type pump as the sensors dont pick the temprature of the water up as it doesnt spray.

check that the wash motor is also working correctly and the spray arms are clean.

Repair guy has just been and he says it’s the pump – quoted £100 for the part + £50 to fit. Does this sound about right? Particularly the part, as he was surprised too.

The machine is only two years old so caught in a quandry about whether to repair it or bin it… any advice?

    Cheers

    Yes, that’s about right.

I would have it repaired to be honest, the replacement motors for these have been modified and are far more reliable than the original.

    Dave.
