ParticipantHi, there was recently a power cut in my area (not just my house) and since then my oven will not do anything except display the word ‘StOP’. It is a Firenzi FCEM6 (SF904IX), I have tried switching off at the mains and back on, tried off at the mains and back on with the button pressed but nothing. It only has 2 knobs and 1 button, so I am stumped as to what I can try next. 😕
If anyone can help or can point in the right direction for a user manual, it would be greatly appreciated. 🙂

ParticipantOh and by the way the oven was not in use at the time of the power cut.

That sounds like a Whirlpool type error.
Is there a 12NC number on the rating plate?

No can’t see any 12NC number.
Is the rating plate just the plate that shows the model type etc. and a couple of bar codes?

It is a Whirlpool made oven as here’s a list of parts for it that we carry. THe model number is the SF904IX one and there should be a 12NC number of the rating plate.
This question was asked before and here was the answer. So far as I know, this was the solution.

ParticipantThanks, but that solution doesn’t work for me.
There is no arrow below the clock, when I press the button nothing happens at all it just says ‘stop’. Everything is set to Zero but still no joy.
Do you think it could be something more serious/expensive?

KeymasterAnything is possible, that’s the problem with error codes, they often don’t actually help, they hinder as they’re not a magic bullet most times.
It’s possible the power cut popped the card, in which case it’s well expensive.
It’s equally possible it’s just the fan element that’s popped. 😕
You really need to go into the oven and start diagnosing it to find the problem.

ParticipantOk thanks.
I am having a nosey around at the moment but not too sure what I’m looking at.
I’m thinking that maybe the middle button could be faulty as we never used the clock or timer so it was very rarely pressed, although it feels fine to push.
May just have to give the house insurance people a call to see if they will cover the repair and get a pro in instead.
Thanks for your help! 🙂
