Firenzi FIDW41 – product code 911931002

This integrated Firenzi (which I suspect is a Zanussi) releases lots of moist smelly fumes into the kitchen during the latter stages of the cycle (drying cycle). This never happened with our old freestanding unit. Is this normal? I have checked door seals etc but all seems normal.

No that doesn’t sound normal…you can check to see if the door is sealing correctly by having a good listen when its washing…if you press on one side of the door and then the other, check that the sound of the machine doesn’t change. If it does it means that the door catch may need adjusting, or it may have been poorly installed…occasionally I see built in dishwashers with the top mounting screws hanging down preventing the door from closing fully.
Incidentally, it is worth getting sorted quickly because the steam can damage some worktops.

Many thanks for the reply. It appears to be fitted ok. It is still under warranty so I will get an engineer to have a look.
