Firenzi Fridge Freezer.. fridge getting warmer

Help!

Typical warranty just run out and being a tightwad didn’t want to pay the huge amount requested to keep it going! 😳 But the fridge part is now getting warmer or rather not keeping things as cold as it should. Any ideas what it might be? (freezer is fine)

It’sa Firenzi fridge. Model number FCB285. Bought through Magnet Trade if that helps.

One thought (having read through the info stuff on this site) could the pipe thing at the back be blocked? At the back of the fridge part there’s a hole which presumably drains some of the water out… could it be that? If so, can I clear it? how?

OK I’ve read all the comments about fridges being too warm.. quite reassuring it’s not just me!! 😆

I’ve poked around the draining hole with electrical tie thingy and also defrosted the fridge/freezer properly. Have just switched back on so fingers crossed will be colder when all done.

Should I try anything else? Any other tips?

Sorry you haven’t had a specific response to your problem. It’s always a problem who is on line at any given time on a voluntary site. I regret I can’t add anything.

Hi Anna,

It’s liable to be either a blockage or a compressor failure and you’d need someone to confirm that for sure. It’s not likely to be a thermostat failure or anything that you can solve on your own I’m afraid.

Thanks for your replies. I did email the ‘approved engineers’ through the site unfortunately none of them were able to assist.

Yellow pages it is then for clearing the blockage or replacing the compressor.
