First washing machine (single person)

I’m looking to spend no more than £800 on a washing machine just for single person use – probably around once or twice a week. I’m ideally after something quiet and quick but appreciate this isn’t the be all and end all of the ‘best’ washing machine.

I don’t know where to start to be honest. I’ve read articles about the washing machine swindle etc so I know you get what you pay for at the higher end. Any ideas for a budget of £800?

I’d go for a Miele or ISE if you want to spend that sort of money
