Hi, Can anyone help me understand what fault code 49 is on a Fisher and paykal smartdrive washing machine?

Hi, Thanks for the info

model is IW712.

I tried to set it into diagnostics (lifestyle + power) but it just continues to beep alot and tell me it need service due to fault 49. Any more info would be greatly appreciated.

Check for continuty between valve and PCB – harness problems are common. Check resistance on valve is 64 ohms. If these are OK, you may be looking at a problem with the PCB itself.

Hi, again thanks for the help. It turned out that a water leak was the problem and the control board was wet. The grommet that holds the incoming water temp sensing thermocouple was leaking into the area under the control module. On drying the module out everything worked fine. Silicon around the grommet and all is good.

Have you seen this grommet leak before. Why is there not a drain away from this area? Even a hole to the floor would be better than flooding the control panel. The leak was only 4 or 5 drops per minute and only when water was being put into the tub.
