    Hey there,
Found your forum for the first time today and it seems amazingly helpful… the fact that I managed to work out the diagnostic thing is nothing short of a miracle. LOL It was…
    00101100 – so that’s error 44, if I followed your instructions right???

My washing machine has been painful for the last few months, beeping and carrying on once it hit the rinse section right before spin (2nd last light), and we’d need to re-start it from the Short wash part to get it to finish a load (and sometimes even had to loop that bit a few times. Some random loads it manages to finish on it’s own, but takes literally HOURS to do so… so probably something to do with filling or pumping water out.

Today however spurred me into action when the clothes I put into the machine came out visibly DIRTIER than when I put them in… so yeah, I think our machine is pretty sick. 🙁

Is there anything very basic that I can do to try and help our ailing machine, before paying a criminal ammount of money for someone to come out, spend 3 minutes and go ‘there’s your problem’?

    Cheers,
    Jemimah

P.S. I lost the manual years ago… if there’s any routine cleaning I should have been doing on our neglected machine, can you please let me know that too.
