    Hi all

I was called to this machine originally because of a burning smell, I tracked this down to a burnt out suppressor board and upper draw wiring loom, both of these parts and the upper draw rotor (very stiff to move) were replaced.

I have now had a recall on this machine for no life to the top draw, this appears to be because the thermal fuse on the heater plate has blown so I have replaced the plate and now noticed a problem.

It appears that the machine is powering the heater even when not in a program, it does not come up with any errors and appears to be otherwise working happily within programs, it also passes an insulation test with flying colours. I have also checked the relay on the board and it is not welded on, a bit of careful live testing shows that the board is not turning on the relay.

Does any one have any ideas – also does anyone have a wiring diagram that they could send me as the possibility of the new loom being incorrectly made is going through my mind.

    Thank you

    Jem

have you checked continuity from heater to relay to make sure it is not connected to anything else. if the wire goes directly from relay to heater, and the relay is sound, and not being powered on, then it cant come on

    at least thats my theory

I take it no one has a diagram then – pity will have to work it out the hard way on Tuesday now that the customer is finally back.
