    Hi

When the machine is supposed to be spinning it “jerks” back and forth and sometimes it will spin, but usually not. After some time will just stop and have a continuous beep.

I have done the diagnostics and the fault code is 47 (00101111).

    Thanks

Drum may not be engaging on the drive splines properly – lost any socks lately? More likely that the water level control system is at fault – it may think the machine is full after it has emptied. Check that the air hose from the bottom is not kinked or trapped is the starting point. Two screws at the back hold the top deck in place.

I have checked and the air hose (the one with the blue cable I’m guessing) doesn’t seem to be trapped or have any kinks at the starting point – that I can see.

When electronics “kick” motor clockwise & counterclockwise bowl must move 120 degrees in both directions. Operate lid switch manually in spin mode and check that this happens.

    Hi kiwireeferman

I think you may have hit on the problem – the bowl doesn’t rotate 120 deg but when I give it a hand off it goes and spins.

I am not sure how effective the spin is unless I do a wash cycle.

The question is “Where to from here?”

    thanks

These are nasty faults. It may be suspension or motor problems.
I have found the motor stator plastic hub sometimes cracks and this can lead to problems in this area.
I think maybe the stator flexes with the strong magnetic field.
Perhaps its time to call in a service company or replace the machine as this must be over ten years old.
