I have a Fisher and Paykel gw708u. Just recently I’ve encountered a problem with it. Whenever I start the washing the water doesn’t flow into it but rather stops -starts, stops -starts.

Also the spin doesnt seem to work, because I cant drain the water with the spin. With the diagnostics problem this is the code that it gives me. I have no idea what it means. Hope someone can help me!

Please read the Sticky at the top of the forum to access the diagnostics correctly.

Stop/start/stop/start can be symptomatic of valve failure and problems with the lid and out of balance switches.

    Hi slic3

You have got into diagnostics correctly but have looked at all 16 registers in there. The one you need to foucs on is third one down in the list “1000 1000” fault code 136 which is motor stall. Most likely that the main motor control module has failed. This can also be caused by a short on the stator windings.

Just some extra info your machine is telling you from the other 15 registers is, failed on first rise part of cycle, has complted 5043 wash cycles up till failing, Water temp at time of putting into diagnostics was 30 deg C and there is there’s 24 millimeters of water in bottom of bowl.

Hey Penguin45 the info was there the whole time.
