Hi guys just wondering if you can help with some information we have a fisher & paykal 703 smart drive that has been making a strange squealing squeak when washing, this first started only when spinning and now happens through the whole wash cycle. The other day when in the rinse cycle the machine was beeping whilst going ie didn’t stop and beep, and the water saver light was flashing. It also seems to go out of balance all the time and makes loud banging noises when spinning. The machine used to be very quiet and now is very loud all the time. any information would help us out thanks mark & tracey

With the machine empty and off, the drum should sit with the front lip just under the front edge of the top deck, more or less central. If it is not, the bias spring may be disconnected, or (more likely) one of the suspension rod assemblies is faulty. These comprise a rod, spring and damper assembly, which should, when working correctly, hold the drum central and allow free and smooth movement. You will have to remove the top deck to investigate.

    Power off, please.

    Regards,
    Penguin45.
