    Hello everyone,
My 701 has a very strange problem. I have been over every thread in these forums but have had no luck solving the problem.
The machine will run through its normal cycle without a problem, but during its spin it does not seem to suck the water out. I will drain the bowl fine before it starts spinning, ie. take the drain the full bowl of water out, but when it is actually spinning no water pumps out at all.

I put the machine into diagnostics mode tonight, it shows no errors.
I then decided to fill half the bowl with water, in diagnostics mode using one of the switches, and then turned on the pump with another switch…the water pumped out very very slowly, to the point where I could be there all night. The pump however sounds as though it is working fine, and during the normal wash cycle it will empty the bowl very quickly as it should.

So basically what is happening is our clothes still quite wet once the full cycle finishes because when it is spinning you can hear the machine spinning water around with the clothes but not pumping the water out..

This has had me stumped for weeks. Has anyone any ideas.

I have replaced the balance switch and the switch arm/seat, the water pump is brand new, and I replaced a faulty cold water valve today as well because the cold water was filling slowly.

    Thanks,
    Cameron

Foreign object laying over the pump hood could give very similar results. You can remove the pump from underneath (it’s a twist fit) for inspection, or perhaps remove the drum for full access.

You’ll probably find that missing sock………

    Power off first!
