I have a F & P 918 TD dish washer, and have recently gone in and reset the flow switch, as it was coming up with F1 error code after sitting for 6 months in the shed, was working fine prior to storage. Now after fixing the flow switch issue, the waste outlet pump runs endlessly and the machine won;t fill. Both hot and cold taps on, and have tried waiting for 5 hours, turned back on, and also tried setting the inlet to single per manual insruction.
    Any help much appreciated.

A flow meter is a device containing a water wheel with a magnet embedded in it running in the water flow, and a reed switch (usually on a small pcb) mounted on the outside. The magnet passing the reed switch opens and closes it, thus generating pulses, which the computer counts and determines the water level from. There is no “re-set” for such a device. Failure of the reed switch is quite common, although it is worth checking for continuity through the wiring to the main pcb.
