I have diagnosed my washer with the fault code #66. If I unplug it and start the load over it sometimes works. The machince fails with this code about 2 in 10 times of use. Any thoughts on what might be causing it? It is quite annoying when the load quits half way through.

Thank you for whatever help you can offer.

    Regards,

If you keep moving the posts around, how am I going to find and help you? 😀

66 is a problem with the water level control switch, which is mounted on the motor control board. The readings are “out of range”. Check water level chamber at the bottom (follow the skinny hose all the way down) – it should be clear of all gunk and obstructions drain the machine completely, first. Check he hose itself for nipping, kinks, trapping or holes. If all checks out OK, I’m afraid it’s the motor control board itself that’s the culprit (the switch is integral) and will need to be replaced.

Stay safe, power off when investigating.

Thank you so much for your help. I will investigate from here. If it is the board, how much whould I expect to pay for a replacement, and can you recommend a place to purchase it?

    Thanks again,

    Hi, Milwaukee.

I’m afraid I’m sat in soggy, cold Yorkshire in England. Have absolutely no idea about US prices and sources. The F+P link might be your best starting point:

Good luck with it, let us know how you get on.
