Fisher & Paykel FF RF610ADX4

I have a problem with my own Fisher & Paykel Fridge/Freezer where the RH door doesn’t ‘snap’ closed as it used to. Within the first two years the following parts were replaced under guarantee.

819650 (842239) CLOSING HOOK DOOR STOP GR RH
819651 (842240) CLOSING HOOK DOOR STOP GR LH
883988P CAP DOOR CLOSING RH HGE BRKT LTGY
883989P CAP DOOR CLOSING LH HGE BRKT LTGY

Now I have a problem with the door holding closed properly I called F&P to order the above parts.
The problem I have, according to F&P the ‘883989P CAP DOOR CLOSING LH HGE BRKT LTGY’ is no longer available.

Does anyone have access to further information on this? According to F&P the first two part numbers have been superseded but the last part is showing NLA.

I find it difficult to believe that, for a premium product that’s only 6 years old, a small plastic part is no longer available.

Nope, sadly F&P are at the same game as Miele and others and won’t share any info with anyone. Nightmare stuff.

you need to ask them how they justify giving a 5 year warranty on some of these and making things obsolete at 6
