Fisher & Paykel GW508U – cold inlet v. slow, error code

Hi – Our Fisher & Paykel Smart Drive GW508U washer (according to the label on the back) has a problem – the cold water inlet flow has slowed to a trickle.

I have had the nozzle assembly out and made sure it is clear.

Warm water inlet is OK – flow speeds up when this is selected.
The error code is 160 i.e (10100000).
Will a new cold water inlet valve fix this problem or is it something else?
Any help or advice is appreciated.

The code does not relate to the water valve, it relates to the drum not floating up the shaft. This would make sense as the motor will start operating after a set period, expecting the drum to be afloat. Slow fill will prevent that.

I’d replace the valve and see what happens. P/no 426143.
