ParticipantHi guys, first post here. I’ve got a Fisher Paykel GW703-U washing machine, which is playing up.
I press power, and select my wash options, and pressing the START/PAUSE button does nothing. No beep, nothing. I’ve seen the instructions around here to enter diagnostic mode:
– Press and hold the ‘wash temp down’ button, and press the Power button.
– Cycle through the Spin buttons until both Slow and Hold are lit up, and the 8 LEDs up top will display a binary code.No LEDs lit up at all. I cycled through all the Spin options and there were a few instances where combinations of the lights would light up, but a quick google of these codes returned nothing.
It is also worth noting that no beeps came out when I entered diagnostic mode. Is that normal?
Yesterday it had a similar problem, but I just left it in frustration, came back later and it worked again. Weird.
I’ll post the ones I wrote down, and report back soon when I double-check to make sure they were right:
– 01110001 (decimal 113) – Fast/Hold lit up
– 00001101 (decimal 13) – Fast/Slow lit up
– 00101010 (decimal 42) – Fast/Medium/Slow lit up
– 00110111 (decimal 55) – Fast/Medium/Slow/Hold lit up
– 00100011 (decimal 35) – Fast lit upThanks for any help guys!
EDIT: checked codes.

It’s not starting the wash at all. No matter which settings I choose (water temp, water level, spin speed, etc) the wash doesn’t start. All LEDs on the display seem OK when I power on the washer, but nothing happens when I press START/PAUSE.
I got a copy of the manual for my washer, but it doesn’t provide any info to help me out.

I thought I’d update on how things are going. I got the repair guy to come out this afternoon, because I don’t have the confidence to order parts or replace them myself.
Under the front panel, there’s the display board and the control board. The display board has the buttons and display LCDs, and it turns out this was busted. He replaced it, and it’s worknig 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} now. So happy!
