Participanthi all, I have a faithful olde FP GW708U. Its been given another motor after the old one cracked, and we swapped the hot n cold solenoids a year back because cold had low flow rate. (using junk machine as parts)
Current problem is it beeps at one second intervals, and gives fault code
01101000 = 104 on the lights . I tried the main board from the junk machine, and got the same result.Any ideas what this fault cause is please ?
Thanks for the HowTo guide viewtopic.php?f=33&t=17246June 24, 2009 at 11:22 pm #290060brooksi

I should have mentioned it just ‘failed to procede’ one morning. producing a BEEP every second .
It still makes the beep every second after reset, and also after changing the drive board (watercooled board) with a scrap machines card.June 24, 2009 at 11:30 pm #290061bigsmokepiker

104 Fault code
Communication error between the disaply module & Motor Controller Module
Either display module or motor Controller module could be at faultJune 24, 2009 at 11:36 pm #290062Penguin45

It’s a communication error between the controller and display boards. Yours is a phase 4 machine, so assuming wiring integrity/continuity, the fault lies in the display board rather that the motor controller board. Later versions can have this fault caused by dicky pumps and RPS units, but that shouldn’t apply to yours.

I have the same fault code (Model GW608). How can the above problem be fixed. ‘Brooksi’ said he fixed the problem but doesn’t explain how he did it.
When I turn power on at the socket to the machine…the pump is continuously running. If I pour water into the machine the pump will empty the water. If I lift the lid, the pump stays running.
Any help would be really appreciated.July 3, 2009 at 12:06 am #290065MAR01

Appliance guy called and fixed the machine. It was the motor controller as suggested. Thanks bigsmokepiker for the advise. Much Appreciated
