ParticipantHi,
I am having a problem with my washing maching, it is an Intuitive IW812 and it is stuck on Rince 1, it will not drain and eventually comes up with Code 37
I checked the pump first for blockages and couldn’t find any.
Then I checked the diverter valve, I thought this was the problem so I bought a new one. I fitted it and the same problem still.
I then found out about the diagnostics mode and so I was able to test the pump by turning it on and off and also the diverter valve which allowed the water to recirculate or drain.
I then noticed a problem with the pump as it was draining it suddenly stopped after about 1 minute, the pump was overheating and tripping the thermel cuttout fitted to the pump, if I gave it some time it would start working again and I was able to drain the remaining water in the drum.
So I thought this had to be the problem and I purchased a new pump.
I fitted the new pump hoping for the best and I still have the same problem except this time when I go into diagnostics mode to drain the water from the drum the pump doesn’t cut out anymore and is able to drain all the water.
Anyone have any idea as to what I should be looking at as it has me stumped. I don’t really want to have to buy a circuit board…
Thankyou in advance for your help

Yep experience tells Me more Than likely the motor controller (Main PCB)
Not Unusual to replace for this problem
Only thing to double check is to make sure pressure tube is not blocked
Take It off at the top consule (Make sure water is fully drained from tub )
and blow Thru itMay 28, 2010 at 11:00 pm #320236fastbike

And don’t forget the diagnostics mode allows you to check what water level the controller is sensing. On my IW711 it’s on the screen accessed by pressing the lifecycles button – the screen shows “WL” followed by a number. By manually controlling the cold water valve and the pump you should be able to get a reading from 0~1 at empty through to ~200 at completely full.

The diagnostic process is outlined at the top of the forum and all posters are advised to read it.
