    Hi All,

I’m new here – congratulations on hosting such a useful forum – couldn’t believe the depth of information available here!

My problem is a washing machine that powers up ok but stops at the ‘water level sensing’ stage – no water flows in at all. Having checked the diagnostics it shows a fault code 37, and in the status screen shows the OOB switch as off and the lid as open (when it is closed). Is the problem the lid open switch, and if so where is it located?

    Your assistance is greatly appreciated.

Fault code 37 Primary source relates to a pump blockage

Secondary may a blocked or kinked pressure tube
Thirdly can relate to motor controller

Now the status i presume is after putting into diagnostics ?

In which case it indicates a faulty lid Switch(located Under Hob ON the RHS)To test OOB Switch open lid & move bowl to back RHS Corner Status should change at this Instance

From your post are you saying the washer powers up but no action at all when cycle selected & start pressed . If this is the case i would suggest lid Switch

Thanks for the info bigsmoke. I’ll check the lid switch first and go from there. I assume it is a magnetic switch? The status display was reached by cycling the ‘special’ button. I will check the pump for blockage too.

Lid switch is a magnetic reed switch
