Need Help, hello, we have a fisher paykel IW709AU, for the past few days it has been stopping and indicating WARNING I AM OVERLOADED, after resetting it has functioned as per normal. Today however the machine agitated while filling as normal then stopped, giving the indication above and will not proceed beyond the fill cycle , Any help greatly appreciated

One more question is the upper blue ring of the bowl supposed to be half full of liquid

Yup, it’s supposed to be full of water.

Right, the tech info isn’t going to tell us much, so let’s apply some logic to this. When themachine is full, the drum should float off the drive shaft. Therefore the drum should float freely, leaving the paddle to agitate. If it doesn’t float, the motor will try and drive the drum, the laundry, the paddle and the water – too much man…….

The drive shaft should be free to turn – failing bearings can cause things to jam, again the motor will labour.

Wiring problems – the F+P favourite. Star point and RPS are both subject to corrosion, dodgy connections and chaffed/broken wiring around the motor and the edge of the drum.

Hope that gives you something to start with, stay safe – power off when investigating.

    Regards,
