Fisher Paykel Phase 2 size setting

Hi. I have a bin full of Phase 2 (blue) F&P Autowasher modules which I cannot size correctly. The manual instructions for size setting seem to work for Phases 3 upwards, but not for Phase 2. I put the display module into the console, which sets its size, but when I try to then set the motor control module to the same size, it just beeps at me to let me know I’ve failed again. A few times I’ve managed to alter the size setting by random fiddling, including going into diagnostic mode and pressing random buttons, and also setting Restart and Recycle on and off, and changing options. However, I cannot then repeat what I did for other modules.
I have no trouble at all with the other Phases.

This is very odd – phases 1-3 should set the size via the switches locating onto studs in the console moulding. There is no special procedure for the phase 2 board.

Assuming that the boards are located correctly, it’s just a matter of entering Option Adjustment – hold down Start, the press Power. That should be all that’s required.

Now 4 + 5s are a different matter…… 😀

Thanks Penguin45. I’ll give that a go. It is certainly not what I have in my manual:
“Press and hold the TEMPERATURE UP button then press the POWER button . . . . One of the following needs to be pushed to lock the size into memory.
* Press WASH TEMP UP button, the COLD LED is on for 5.5kg,
* Press WATER LEVEL UP button, the LOW WATER LED is on for 6.5kg/7.0kg,
* Press SPIN SPEED UP button, the SPIN HOLD LED is on for 7.5kg/8.0kg,
* Press POWER to set and exit.
This supposedly works on all levels of modules.
I will give your combo a go and report back.
