ParticipantHi,
The Fisher & Paykel smart drive 058 had a problem with slow filling.I then took the valves out to check. Put it back together.
Now the machine starts, sounds as though it is trying to empty. Then stops and beeps. The short wash and rinse lights come on. 00001100. I think that is 12.
Please help.

Odd one….. This is a flood protection fault. The computer reckons that the machine is overfilling. It activates the pump, but the water level is not falling fast enough. Dumb question first, in view of your initial post. The valves are back in the right way round, aren’t they? Cold one is a proportional control device and is prone to problems.
This can be a mechanical problem with the valve sticking open, or the pump is partially blocked and is not clearing the water fast enough.
Like I said, odd one.

The valves are the right way.
The thing is that when the machine starts up it immediately starts pumping, not filling.
How does the machine determine that the machine is flooded? By a switch (pressure/ level)? or the fact that the level is not reducing?

I left the machine for a few days.
It reset itself, now the only problem is that it is so slow to fill.

Assuming that you have good water pressure on your household supply and that the filter meshes in the water valves are clear, you could try the following:
Enter diagnostics, as per the sticky at the top of the forum. Use Wash Temp Down to turn the water on and off. Use Wash Temp Up to operate the hot valve. The cold water at leaast should blast into the machine at full pressure. If it doesn’t, you need a new valve – p/no 426143.
