    Hello,
    i have F & P smartdrive that is making a banging sound when it agitates
    Can you please help.

    We could dowith a little more information please.

    What is the banging like? I know it’s hard to describe noises! Electrical banging (popping)? Metal-on-metal banging? Is this a UK machine?

    It’s an Oz vertical top loader, GB. Don’t you ever look in the Oz forum? It’s a different world! 😀

    Mechanical banging on agitation is usually caused by problems with the drum suspension springs/dampers. The bias spring may be detached, causing the drum to sit incorrectly. You will need to get under the top deck to check, so power off.

    Model numbers do help though………
