ParticipantFisher Paykel Washer Mainboard Fault
Hello, I suspect from what I’ve read that the motherboard on my Smartdrive 053 is not well.
I’ve gotten into the diagnostic mode (I think, and ) and get a cycle of the following when I press the key
1. 0000 0000 with High and Low level lights on
2. 0100 0100 with Low level light on
and repeat…..Is there any hope or should I look for another mainboard?

ParticipantThanks for the diagnostics – we narrowed it down to the lid sensor in about 5 minutes.
Temporarily shorted it out and away it went.
Thanks again.

fykl wrote:Hi – I seem to be having a related problem.
My Fisher & Paykel Smartdrive 085 turns on OK, all buttons seem to work to change settings, but when I press start/pause, nothing happens. Can’t wash, can’t rinse, can’t spin. The board has been replaced once before and since that’s such an expensive exercise, we’ll just buy a new machine if it needs replacing again.
I’ve looked inside and the tech sheet is not in there. Fisher & Paykel in Australia refused to send a tech sheet too. (Although I have read that in NZ they will send a service manual to consumers?)
I’ve run the diagnostic mode and get the following:
00000000
00000000
00000000
01000100
00110111
00000010
00000011
00011001
01000001
00000010
11111111
000000**
00100100
01001001
00010100The ** above indicates where the last 2 LEDs alternate between 0 and 1 (when one becomes 0, the other becomes 1).
If anyone can either help me get hold of a tech sheet/service manual, or help me to interpret these codes, I would really appreciate it. I can be reached by email to ennio at bigpond dot net dot au.
Hi,I have the same problem, what was the diagnosis?
ThanksJune 23, 2005 at 10:53 pm #125073alexa
ParticipantLevel 3 is the current fault code indicating your is 00100100
This indicates your machine may be:
1/. siphoining
2/. leaking
or
3/.power module needs replacing.Raise the outlet end of the drain hose to prevent siphoning.
Check for water on the floor to confirm leaking
If these don’t solve the problem then a new power module may be required
