    Computer can’t run the motor.

Wiring problems most likely, rotor Position sensor can cause this, stator problems, drum bearings/drum jammed or seized or possibly even the computer board itself.

Penquin is their any way that I can eliminate this any further!!

I have checked the water pump via multimeter and it appears fine (30 ohms across the terminals).

I am able to accept the hot or cold water corretly (un-interrupted when in diagnose mode so I think both of the water solinoids are OK!!

The stator is able to be turned quite freely when power is removed so I think it apears OK whilst the power is off

How do I check the stator position sensor?? I do not know how to do this??

    Many thansk for your help

PS> the washer is 12 years old, do you think I should just get a new one rather than persisting??

If you have a multimeter, you’re half way there. Continuity from PCB to the motor is the place to start, continuity through the stator windings etc. These machines suffer from corrosion and chafing of the wiring around the turn of the bottom of the drum and as it tucks under the rotor.

That said, 12 years is a good age for a washer………

As it happens Penquin I do have a multimeter!!

I am unsure where abouts the motor wires are located. How do I locate these babies?

How do I check the continuty of the stator windings??

Sorry in advance for being a dummy washer machine mechanic!!

Thanks Penquin for your continued help

    Cheers,

    Ian
