fisher paykell / whirlpool double door dishwasher

can anyone help had a customer drop off a whirlpool double door dishwasher to our workshop. On the top drawer it goes through 3 quarters of the cycle then alarm goes off leaving all the water at bottom. it seems to pump ok and heats up ok and washing ok anyone got any suggestions.

Hiya,
It should be showing an error code. Either by flashing lights or numbers if it has a numerical display.
Model number would be handy too.

Hello it is a whirlpool adg2900 it just beeps constantley and none of the lights flash although it did just play some tunes to me one was americas national anthem,

As Brian says above if this appliance sticks on the program it will bring up an error code. Your machine being a Whirlpool badged one does not have the numerical display so it will flash the fault up on the LED’s

Most common fault will be the rotor motor that has jammed or a blockage in the tube between the rotor motor and the filter that you see in the bottom of the tub. If you look at the bottom of the tub the large stainless drain plate is fixed by a twist fit grey plastic holder in the middle, take this off and then you can take out the rotor motor which is also a twist fit. Make sure it turns freely and also check for foreign objects in the hole it came out of and also at the filter end in the sump.

And no you are not going mad, if you press the right combination of buttons you will put the appliance into showroom mode which plays either the Stars and Stripes or Lady Lynda by the Beach boys (they sell a lot of these in the USA)

right the fault it showed inside was from right to left
first on
second off
third on
fourth off
fith on

we took the door off and found a plug had come out of a solenoid of the salt dispencer. but ever scince then no fault flashes up but it just washes for hours and dosent seem to stop you here some whirring then it just starts up again.

any suggestions its driving us round the bend!!
