Hi there = I wonder if anyone can help – I bought a replacement belt for my tumble dryer – I’ve threaded it round the drum but it seems to be too long. there is a pulley which i assumed it went round but like I say if that’s it – its too long – I can only assume it also goes round teh motor spindle – does anyone know?

    Thanks!!

It goes around the motor and pulley, remove the fan cover and the fan blade removing the spring clip with pliers.

Slide the fan off the shaft, it can stick and need some force but not to much.
Next remove the bolt on the pulley that’s closest to you, and loosen the rear bolt, this should Allow you to release the pulley wheel and tilt it back

Then once the belt is around the drum get it passed the plastic bottom plastic panel so it sits around grooves in the motor shaft, now pull the pulley foward to it meets the belt and get it back to love into the motor via its clip and refit the front bolt, then tighten the rear and rebuild.
