ParticipantI have just replaced the Detergent Dispenser on Whirlpool 7450.
To gain access to the dispensor retaining screws I split the door removing the outer skin by removing the 8 screws (4 on each side) from the inner door pannel. As the door separated the Decor MDF door pannel droped away.
Now the dispenser is replaced and the two halves of the door screwed back together I can’t work out how the Decor pannel is re attached. There are 4 rectangle slots in the outter door skin and the Decor pannel has two nylon fixing screwed to the MDF pannel (one left one right) and there are 4 ‘T’ shaped lugs from these Nylon fixings which align with the slot in the outer skin. I can’t see how these clip into the steel frame of the dishwasher door.
Can anyone help? is there a instalation manual PDF somewhere?
Thanks in advance

Hi
Loosen off the 4 screws at the slots , do not remove the screws.
Put door fixings into bottom of slots and slide door panel up , tighten screws.Wasman

I’ve taken another look and I can see that there are galvenised clips behind each of the four slots on the door. There are screws on each, but the poins of the screws not the screw heads are facing me.
The only way I can see of accessing the theses screws to lossen them and then retighten them would be to disemble the dish washer door again – is that what I should be doing? I called in to a kitchen showroom thismorning and they said I shouldn’t have to disemble the door to refit the Decor pannel, but I can’t see any other way 🙁

Hi
With door open you can see all the screws that hold the door , 4 down each side. if you look you will see that 4 of these screws 2 on each side are directly behind the slots on the front of the door ,slaken these screws and slide door panel into position and tighten screws.

Hi
Thanks, So If I slaken thes 8 screws I should have space to position the nylon ‘T’ tabs then retighten the 8 screws without splitting the door in to two. That makes sence I’ll try that tomorrow
Thanks again

Hi
Only slaken off the screws directly above the slots ,not all 8.
There are 4 slots so only 4 screws need to be slakened off.Washman
