Could someone please advise on how to remove the front fascia panel so the timer can be replaced on a Hotpoint EG1000EX cooker/range? I have removed all the screws except 2, where the heads are underneath the top panel and can’t be reached. I have tried sliding the top panel to allow access but it doesn’t seem to move far enough and I don’t want to disturb the gas pipework. Any advice would be much appreciated. Many thanks

Fixed this, part of the rear panel had to be removed to allow the top to move further.

I’m stuck with the same issue, I guess I’ve got to pull the top forward to unclip it from something (it’s loose at the back) but can’t work out of the life of me how.

Anyone got anything more specific, don’t really want to take apart the entire rear of the cooker.
