    Hey guys

I fixed the pump on my Zanussi ZWF14581W, and now it is overfilling which it wasn’t doing before. It stops filling as soon as I turn the machine off, so You Tube tells me it’s probably the pressure switch.
Would you agree, and why would this happen when it was fine before the pump problem, dyou think?

I’ve never done any repairs before this and was gonna buy a new machine when the pump broke, so now that’s fixed I’m inspired to see if I can sort this. I’d really appreciate any advice you might have!

    Cheers! 🙂

Could you describe what exactly you did to fix the pump? Did you turn it on its side, upside down, stick a new pump in?

Hi there – I put the machine on its side, took out the pump and it was full of gunk, so cleaned it, popped it back in and all good. Other people’s wisdom and experience via You Tube helped lots. Good luck!

Have since discovered the current overfilling problem isn’t do to with the actual pressure switch but the hose that connects the switch to the pressure chamber – took it out to find it has a huge hole in it, so no wonder there was a problem! Brilliant, and am off to buy some hose right now…
